A spark was ignited when Shelia Rutledge decided to attend the University of Alabama. Lighting the torch, her daughters Shadelia Roan and Sheena Robinson graduated from Southern University. The flame is now passed to Ahmi at Louisiana State University, were her aunt, Angela Roan and grandmother, Jean Roan are alums.
